The Great American Teach-Off - $10,000 available, applications due now

What better way to celebrate excellence in teaching than by rewarding one of America's best teachers? January 23rd, The Great American Teach-Off starts round 2 for High School and Middle School teachers.

The Great American Teach-off will let students, parents and teachers nominate one teacher who is making a difference and America will decide which teacher should receive a $10,000 classroom grant.

Educators are nominated through a 200 word essay on GOOD's website.

  • Ten finalists are chosen by a panel of partnering organizations
  • Finalists then submit short videos answering questions posed by the contest organizers
  • Over the course of five weeks, finalists are paired against one another and America decides who should move on to the next round of competition
